Silence of the Wolves Winners

Open Voting winners are:

Judges' choice:

Congratulations to all!

What the Judges had to say:

Nolebucgrl about the Judges' choice: I selected this story because we suffered through Leah's lack of relationship and finally she got an imprint of her own. Just as she was working up the nerve to tell him about herself, tragedy struck. It was heartbreaking and really spoke to me as a reader.

Frenchbeanz about the Judges' choice: This was my pick for a whole swag of reasons. The missing pieces from canon are so well written, very believable. There is a constant underlying feel of how tragic Leah’s past is but then we’re given hope. The author has also taken a very unlikely pairing and not only made it plausible, but made us care for the outcome. You feel for Leah and you want everything to work out. And then there’s the ending . . . but you’re gonna have to read that yourselves. Overall, it’s a really well thought out story that drew me in and held me there, and even made me sympathetic to the wolves.

and Frenchbeanz about Who Killed Jacob Black: This story took a couple of reads for me to really appreciate it. It’s short, but within those few words, there is a lot to understand. There are two perspectives: the author’s and Billy Black’s. Billy Black is her character and is seeking revenge for Jacob’s death. Sounds odd? Yeah, it is, but this is what makes the story so unique. I truly enjoyed the unusual structure, something I’ve never come across before. And it is just . . . really well written. It's one thing to have an idea like this but quite another to convey it as well as they have. A very close second for me.

Thank you for participating. And as a treat for all those who want it, here's a link to a lovely wallpaper I found:

Three Brother Wolves from Denali in different sizes in here.

It's been fun.
